I dream each grain of the ocean bed
anemone, coral reef
jellyfish blooms –
colours that unbend, unravel
tied in ribbons in knots of fragile wind I may be
a wisp of cloud
a wingless, songless bird soaring,
flailing
the black of night came and my grief gave.
now i am undone.
Terror of loving
someone
some place as fragile as this;
between my teeth I bite the bit
like a rabid bitch
refuse to let go.
